ENGLISH INFORMATION:
The first steps towards adventure sports were in the late nineteenth century. In Malaga the excursions to the nature began with the creation of the Sociedad Excursionista de Málaga in 1906, although in a very timid way. By the 1930s there was a climbing club that ceased its activity with the civil war. Later, towards the middle of the 60’s, a group of young people are interested again in this sport discipline and continue climbing until the mid-70’s.
Precisely from those years we have recovered a collection of photos that we now offer you in this publication with the sole purpose of recreating the first moments of this sport in the province of Malaga, an activity that today occupies a prominent place among the provinces with more schools of climbing And unique ways of Spain.
A humble tribute to the first Malaga people who dared to defy the laws of gravity and other improper social behaviors of the time.
